Back to the lyrics...

12. Now I like you, lady
So fine with your pretty hair
If you don't mind my compliments
Just diggin' on the clothes you wear
I'm just a man and I got your fear
I can love you now I brought you here.

LET'S DO IT AGAIN, the Staple Singers
(includes "Do It Again" by Steely Dan; "Again" by Janet Jackson)

22. Violence is spread worldwide and there are families on the street
And we sell drugs to children now, oh why can't we just see
That all we do is eliminate our future with the things we do today?
Money is our incentive now so that makes it okay.

I BELIEVE, Blessid Union of Souls
(includes "Believe" by Cher)

42. How many times
Did we give up?
But we always worked things out
And all my doubts and fear
Kept me wondering
If I'd always, always be in love

IT AIN'T OVER TIL IT'S OVER, Lenny Kravitz
(includes "It's Over" by Boz Scaggs)
(I just remembered that Lenny Kravitz also had a song called "Again", so he could fit with #12)

56. I believe love will always be the same,
Ways and means are the parts subject to change.

METHOD OF MODERN LOVE, Daryl Hall & John Oates
(includes "Modern Love" by David Bowie)

76. I know your window and I know its late
I know your stairs and your doorway
I walk down your street and past your gate
I stand by the light of the four way.

DOWNTOWN TRAIN, Rod Stewart
(includes "Downtown" by Petula Clark)

77. When we met, I always knew
I would feel that magic for you.
On my mind constantly
In my arms is where you should be.

CAUGHT UP IN THE RAPTURE, Anita Baker
(includes "Rapture" by Blondie)

93. Oh sugar, where you been?
Hangin' out with your male friends?
Listen, somebody's going to hurt you
The way you love to keep hurting me.

OH SHEILA, Ready for the World
(includes "Sheila" by Tommy Roe)
"[Drumpf's] name alone creates division and anger, whose words inspire dissension and hatred, and can't possibly 'Make America Great Again.'" --Kobe Bryant (1978-2020)

"In times of crisis, the wise build bridges. The foolish build barriers." --Chadwick Boseman (1976-2020)

56. I believe love will always be the same,
Ways and means are the parts subject to change.

Method of Modern Love - Hall & Oates

60. Preacherman, don't tell me,
Heaven is under the earth.
I know you don't know
What life is really worth.

Get Up, Stand Up - Bob Marley

76. I know your window and I know its late
I know your stairs and your doorway
I walk down your street and past your gate
I stand by the light of the four way.

Downtown Train - Tom Waits

Many of the titles have the title of another song with a shorter title inside them. Like #1 has Help, which is a song by the beatles. I've put the names of artists by the ones I could think of just on a short quick pass. I also consolidated the answer that have been proposed since the last consolidation. There are several songs like this by the Beatles, Lionel Richie, and George Michael, just to name a few. So if there are 4 Beatles titles "hiding," then the fifth song of that grouping could be Dizzy Miss Lizzy.

Not saying all of these are right, or anywhere close to it, but I think there are too many for it to be a coincidence.

I concur that's probably not a coincidence... though in your example, there is more than one Beatles song in the game... and that's not even accounting for possible covers. I rarely play the Tangredi games since most involve knowledge of Hollywood, so I'm not all that familiar with the nuances of his games, but maybe the solution is even simpler than that... just groups of hidden song titles done by the same artist? That way, 21 artists would have a pair of songs hidden in the game, 13 three, 5 four and 5 five. The Beatles and Lionel Ritchie already seem to have a plethora of possible matches by themselves to account for some of the longer chains...

Of course, if this is the case, we would really need ALL of the song titles identified before we would know whether our matches are complete or not...

I can already see that, as I expected, there are song possibilities I missed. As long as you come up with a solution that fulfills all the conditions and uses all the songs, we're fine.

I will tell you that all of the suggested artists on this consolidation so far are correct.

Adding what I came up with, didn't add the ones determined by Smiler, Jarnon, and Melly, as I didn't want to appear to take credit for someone else's work

Now I can get back to contributing to this game. I've been gone all weekend, as it was the weekend that I married two of my best friends. (For those who don't remember, read this post that I made back in June.)

The Bee Gees could also be added to this list, as their last two Top 40 hits were 16. ONE and 43. ALONE.

One of the unknown songs must contain "Kicks" or "Good Thing" because 23. HUNGRY is a song by Paul Revere & the Raiders.

Noticed that a lot of the artist groupings uncovered were also represented in the 100 songs themselves..

Aside from the unknown songs, are there any of the initial 100 song titles that we haven't used in a match yet?

It's clear that a lot of these artists recorded songs I wasn't aware of. So forget the number of usages. As soon as you've used all of the songs at least once, you can consider yourselves done.

Sorry I haven't had a chance to do anything with this game since Friday. Right now it seems to be at a standstill until we can get a consolidation of what songs we've already used... and I don't see getting the time to throw that together anytime soon...

OK, so the consolidation is missing Earth Wind & Fire (26. SEPTEMBER and 49. FANTASY), as well as Roy Orbison's 65. YOU GOT IT and Bruce Springsteen's 63. THE RIVER.

I'll check out some more songs when I get home.

One of these three unknown songs has to include the word "Dangerous" because nobody other than Roxette had a song called 95. THE LOOK.
