Re: RIP Dean Jones
Yesterday I would have missed him in playing "Dead or Alive".
Tomorrow I won't.
I really liked him, but he seemed like someone who could be a real jerk in real life. I don't know if he was. I hope not.

..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.

He appeared on "The Love Boat," too, although he starred in "The Love Bug."zachhoran1 wrote:Love Bug, not Love Boat.
Far be it from me to defend Zach, who can't even be bothered to give anyone an RIP, but it probably doesn't matter to SSS if he appeared in "The Love Bug" or "The Love Boat."
A child of five would understand this. Send someone to fetch a child of five.

Yes, it does matter to me because I don't like to be inaccurate about movie statements, but I must have typed Love Boat by mistake.Estonut wrote:He appeared on "The Love Boat," too, although he starred in "The Love Bug."zachhoran1 wrote:Love Bug, not Love Boat.

Re: RIP Dean Jones
I was never a Love Bug fan, but I loved some of his others -- That Darn Cat, The Ugly Dachshund, and The Horse in the Gray Flannel Suit. I was young enough to overlook the flaws and saw Blackbeard's Ghost too late. I would have liked it if I'd seen it for the first time when I was a kid.
He did a great job in Other People's Money, Clear and Present Danger, and Jailhouse Rock. I disliked Any Wednesday and Under the Yum Yum Tree so can't speak to his performance in those two.
I googled his filmography as a reminder and found St. John in Exile. I had to google it to know what it was. If it ever comes around on TCM, I'll take a look.
