DWTS Season 21 Cast Announced

Here’s the full rundown of the “DWTS” season 21 celebrities and their pro partners:

The others I do not know.

Not only have I never heard the names of some of these "celebrities," I am not even sure what a "social media savant" is supposed to be.

My only prediction is that Gary Busey will stick around longer than he deserves, getting votes from the viewers who like trainwrecks.
Now generating the White Hot Glare of Righteousness on behalf of BBs everywhere.

I only know them and Bindi Irwin, who is the daughter of the late Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter. But I wouldn't watch this unless someone in my immediate family was in it.

Hayes Grier is from up the street here and has 4 million followers on Instagram and Vine. I dunno why.

He is 15, so he will bring the teen eyeballs and votes to the show.

I wish they would change the rules and allow Gary Busey and Paula Deen to compete as a team. Their rehearsals might be worth watching.

Alek Skarlatos is one of the Paris train guys. He was on GMA the other day and when asked what he was going to do next said he didn't even know what he was going to do when the interview was over. I guess they grabbed him up.

My late Mom, a great dancer as well as athlete in many diff sports, preferred "So You Think You Can Dance" because all of them really could. She watched both shows though.


I watch neither, I admit, now that she's not here to watch them with.

This season's winners were Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough. I'm sure's Saucy's votes put them over the top.

It must be in Derek's contract that he can't be stuck with a Paula Deen or Gladys Knight type.

I thought dancing (as well as harmony) were what the Pips were for. Why would you want Gladys Knight to dance when you could hear her sing? Other than her age, why would anyone put Gladys Knight in any group that includes Paula Deen?

I admit I've missed Gladys Knight's performance on DWTS, if ever there was one. But don't be dissing Gladys Knight, OK?!

So I looked up Gladys Knight; she reportedly did well by herself with the judges before eventually being voted off. Looks good in the stills. An article says she lost 60 lbs! Maybe I should go on DWTS (I only have 30 lbs to lose at this point). Oh wait I'm not a star.


They brought Gladys back to sing for them. More than once, I think.

I dissed no one. I pointed out that Derek (apparently) never gets a partner who doesn't have a chance to win, and, more typically than not, he gets a young partner.

Gladys and Paula went as far as their talents could take them.
