TLAF update

#1 Post by mellytu74 » Mon Aug 31, 2015 8:16 pm

Everyone -

The Lovely Ann Ferrante is moving to hospice tomorrow.

She will be in the nursing facility where she lives now. The hospice area is on a different floor from where she is now and the staff is used to working with the hospice nurses/aides.

Her liver enzymes are very high and the doctors don't hold out any hope. I had a nice chat with her priest this afternoon and extensive conversations with her care team. I am at peace with everything.

I'm sad.

Hugs to you and TLAF.

As difficult as this may be, believe me when I say that wrapped up in this is also a gift you are being given of the opportunity to share time and love and goodbyes on YOUR terms.

Hospice is a blessing for most. I hope it turns out to be that way for you and you lovely madre.

I don't know what to say that the others haven't said already. God bless you and TLAF. She's been as much a part of this board community as anyone.
