I think it's now, Frank.

Really.
Okay, then.

Go back to the last complete consolidation, which was done by TLITF. If you work from that consolidation, you have enough information to complete ... four triples.

Since we have most of the answers, the consolidation must need more information - I am guessing album titles. The four triples mentioned must involve songs that are the same as an album title, like Band on the Run or Sweet Baby James (or maybe band names the same as an album title, like America.

Probably not correct since it involves #1 and #2, but #1 Glory Days was on Born in the USA, and #2 Blowin' in the Wind was on The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan, so that could make Born Free, which I think could go with #90 Andy Williams.

I dunno. Can we make anything from A Mighty Fortress is Our God which fits that? Martin Luther is probably the "artist" most associated with it, but his other hymns are pretty obscure outside church music circles. There's no album I know of which includes that, except for probably thousands of generic hymn albums.

Not to mention The Fox (What does the fox say is a parenthetical subtitle, officially). No album and no other songs released by Ylvis.

Could it be something other than albums? Movie soundtracks?

What about lyricists? That takes care of any difficulties with A Mighty Fortress, and there are plenty of lyricists in the consolidation to give us four triples.

Updated consolidation. Added Martin Luther for A Mighty Fortress and The Dixiebelles for Papa Joe, as well as the one song I knew from the remaining undone, Mississippi Mud. I used Dinah Shore, because that's the version I heard growing up, but there were lots of others who did it, I believe. I admit to still being mystified as to how we could have "everything we need," but only have enough for four triples, when we had something in the neighborhood of 88% of the songs right.

Everything on here is correct, and it is impossible to figure out the Tangredi or to make any triples from this consolidation.

It's been a very, very long time since I pulled this trick.

That's a great hint! There are 12 lyrical excerpts in TLITF's consolidation that don't appear in mrkelley's consolidation. Four of them must contribute directly to triples.

The only suggestion I can come up with is that the lyrics could contain titles of other songs that can somehow be connected to two other songs/artists on the answer list. I found "Breathe" in #60, "Crazy" in #68, and "Fever" in #82, but I don't have any idea if that leads to anything.

I looked through the lyrics again and found what could be references to other artists in many of them. While looking for artists, I noticed a few song titles, too.

26. The zombies were having fun
The party had just begun
The guests included Wolfman,
Dracula, and his son.

33. Hard to be sure
Sometimes I feel so insecure
And love so distant and obscure
Remains the cure.

35. Now the first of December was covered with snow
And so was the turnpike from Stockbridge to Boston.
Though the Berkshires seemed dreamlike on account of that frosting,
With ten miles behind me and ten thousand more to go.

36. Mother told me always to follow the golden rule
And she said it's really a sin to be mean and cruel
So remember if you're untrue
Angels up in heaven are looking at you. (Missing "The"?)

37. If you judge a book by the cover
Then you'd judge the look by the lover
I hope you'll soon recover
Me, I go from one extreme to another.

43. The town I live in, the street, the house, the room
The pavement of the city, or a garden all in bloom
The church, the school, the clubhouse, the millions lights I see
But especially the people
That's America to me.

45. Thanks for the times that you've given me
The memories are all in my mind
And now that we've come to the end of our rainbow
There's something I must say out loud.

46. No we don't get depressed
'Cause here's what we call our golden rule:
Have faith in you and the things you do,
You won't go wrong,
This is our family jewel.

49. My guard stood hard when abstract threats too noble to neglect
Deceived me into thinking I had something to protect.
Good and bad, I defined these terms quite clear, no doubt, somehow.
Ah, but I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now.

55. I ain't stepping out of s**t, all my papers legit.
"Do you mind if I look round the car a little bit?"
Well, my glove compartment is locked, so is the trunk and the back
And I know my rights so you gon' need a warrant for that.

59. Dog goes woof, cat goes meow,
Bird goes tweet, and mouse goes squeak,
Cow goes moo, frog goes croak, and the elephant goes toot,
Ducks say quack and fish go blub, and the seal goes ow ow ow.

65. You think you're mad, too unstable
Kicking in chairs and knocking down tables
In a restaurant in a West End town,
Call the police, there's a madman around.

68. I'm crazy for that lady
She's chic but she's not shady, yeah,
Sophisticated lady
And she makes me feel good
She's so fine.

72. It doesn't matter where you go or what you do
I want to spend each moment of the day with you
Oh, look what has happened with just one kiss
I never knew that I could be in love like this.

75. On the first part of the journey
I was looking at all the life
There were plants and birds and rocks and things
There was sand and hills and rings.

80. It surrounds me
Over me like a sea of madness
It controls me
Makes me do all the things I do for you.

83. Where is Rebecca, my Becky-wecky-oh?
Could still she be cruising that amusing Ponte Vecchio?
Where is Fedora, the wild virago?
It’s lucky I missed her gangster sister from Chicago.

84. May good fortune be with you
May your guiding light be strong,
Build a stairway to heaven
With a prince or a vagabond.

91. Buddy Holly, Ben Hur, space monkey, Mafia,
Hula hoops, Castro, Edsel is a no-go.
U2, Synghman Ree, Payola and Kennedy,
Chubby Checker, Psycho, Belgians in the Congo.

99. As I walk on through this wicked world,
Searching for light in the darkness of insanity,
I ask myself,
Is all hope lost?
Is there only pain, and hatred, and misery?
A child of five would understand this. Send someone to fetch a child of five.

Well don't that beat all! Chiefly, I blame myself for not remembering Frank's past deviousness.

Here are two complete triples to get it started:

47, PEOPLE ARE People + 73. STRANGE Fruit + 22. THE DOORS
7. SHAKE Your Groove Thing + 38. Got to Give IT UP + 96, THE CARS

Looks like there will be no Booty.

Sounds good to me! I'll add #3 and #4 to the list:

54. FRIDAY on My Mind + 80. Think I'M IN LOVE = 33. THE CURE

I'm not including these in the consolidation I"m working on, because they don't fit the pattern that the others have identified. The first two elements come from the actual titles of the identified songs -- it's only the artist who comes from the lyrics Frank originally provided. So there may very well be a No Doubt song and a fun. song, but their titles will be found from the identified titles. I think.

I put the Titles we have identified first, with markers for ones that have been used. * = title used, # = artist taken from lyrics used.

Then I put the triples we have identified.

Then I went back and copied Frank's original lyrics, just so we have everything in one post, albeit an unwieldy one.
