Debonair Spock and the Aggressive Lady Hitchhiker

First of All-I promise that I wasn't cleaning her out of my chainsaw.

Last week, I was down in the cities for a couple of days for some Appraisal CE.

I stay at a Red Roof Inn that is cheap and close to where I need to be. However, the cleanliness standards and the clientele may not be exactly what you get at Marriot.

There is a Joe Sensor's (a sports bar) just kitty korner from the Red Roof Inn with a path between them.

Pulled into the parking lot one evening with a light rain occurring. A lady motions to me and I open the window. My first thought was-she looks too old to be a hooker (Yes, I have my suspicions that it is that kind of place).

She asks if I can give her a ride to Sensor's. Of course, I am my usual debonair self when talking to a female "Blah, blah blah." She basically jumps in my pickup. I am not known for having a clean vehicle interior-so she is pushing books/clothes etc out of the way.

It is about a mile around by road to the sports bar-and she is just bitching about her husband-"Plane was late and he tells me to walk and its raining etc" Apparently, they are from Chicago and her son will be attending St. Thomas (an expensive school) so she was complaining about him picking an expensive school. Her name is Debbie and I am basically in shock for the whole drive to Sensor's.

I did park in a different part of the parking lot-in case some domestic crap was going on and my vehicle got keyed or something.

When I was consulting from 1993-2003 I stayed at several Red Roof Inns that were of very good quality. All has a workspace setup for computer, etc. I was at the one in Peoria, Illinois for about five months.
I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.

Oh, I don't know. I wondered if BJ was reminiscing about getting all dolled up and hitching a ride to a nearby sportsbar...

If I did the driver would have to think about tossing me out. I'm 6'3" and weigh 285.
