Han Solo really is a scoundrel
Ever since Disney bought the Star Wars franchise they've been making changes to canon, from eliminating the Expanded Universe (including the excellent Thrawn trilogy) and producing new canon, for instance, a comic book series. Well, the latest issue of that comic book series has just made a major change - Han Solo is married! The comic book series takes place after the end of Return of the Jedi, so Han's flirting with Leia and the strong implication that they would become a couple suddenly takes on a different slant.

No, because according to the new canon, that wedding never happened. He's a roue, a cad, but not a bigamist.Bob Juch wrote:So he's Han Bigamist? http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Wedding_ ... 288_ABY%29earendel wrote:Ever since Disney bought the Star Wars franchise they've been making changes to canon, from eliminating the Expanded Universe (including the excellent Thrawn trilogy) and producing new canon, for instance, a comic book series. I think the point he was making is the Expanded Universe stuff is now not canon.Bob Juch wrote:So he's Han Bigamist? http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Wedding_ ... 288_ABY%29earendel wrote:Ever since Disney bought the Star Wars franchise they've been making changes to canon, from eliminating the Expanded Universe (including the excellent Thrawn trilogy) and producing new canon, for instance, a comic book series. If Han shows up in the new movie married to someone else, boy are Star Wars purists gonna be upset.
And they'll blame JJ Abrams the way Star Trek purists blamed him for messing up the Star Trek universe (although at least there he used time travel, albeit in a very dubious manner).
