I'm surprised; usually Fox News is much clearer about what you should and shouldn't do. They have to keep it pretty basic so that the bulk of their target audience can understand.
Why are you surprised? The people who know everything about everything settled long ago that Faux News is a joke and only suitable for mouth breathers, not good, forthright, compassionate, open minded people like you. It's irrelevant what the mouth breathers think, so why should you even be concerned, much less surprised?

OH! Single payer is the panacea for all our problems, not nationalized medicine! I am so glad you cleared that up for me. I wasn't sure what the people who knew everything about everything had decided on this issue.
You have a problem with Medicare's efficiency? Or its expense? Do you know anyone who has Medicare who would rather do without it? --Bob

It doesn't matter the source. Your question was about whether or not someone as a recipient of something for free would rather do without it. The arguments should be on the supply side, not the receiving side when it comes to delivery. Service on the delivery side is a different issue.

I'm on Medicare Part A as of yesterday. I've been paying for it. Part B, C, and D are extra cost but I don't need them yet as I'm covered by my work insurance.

What one pays throughout their life for Medicare does not factor into what they get in benefits, or even what they have to pay. Only the last couple of years matter. And if you paid in more (i.e. higher salaried person) you have to pay more than someone who contributed less. So it is essentially a sunk cost at retirement. If you die, no one gets your 'unused benefit'. So no, no one has really paid for their subsidized medical coverage called Medicare.

But let's go with that premise that we are getting something because we paid into it. That changes the question "Do you know anyone who has Medicare who would rather do without it?" to "Do you know anyone who is not happy with the costs and care they get with Medicare based on the costs they've paid in over the years?". That answer would be a resounding "YES".

Want your political career to die a quick death? Mess with Medicare. That tells me that the vast majority of people who have it like it. And that, in turn, tells me that single-payer has worked for approximately half a century. And counting. --Bob

Funny. When people say that about voters for Republican candidates, their supporters call them paternalistic or worse.

I think people who vote in favor of Medicare know what they're doing. They just disagree with you. --Bob

Nope, no blinders on me, Bob. I'm talking both (all) sides of the aisle. But go on generalizing; it's so helpful.

Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

HMSAS must be doing something wrong as no other company has their problem. Notice the announcement say their request will be carefully scrutinized; it's not a done deal.

1) The name of the company you know so much about is HMSA. The last "S" was used to indicate possessive case.

2) No other company? How hard did you look?
