Suitguy is not bitter.
feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive
The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

7. ASPCA. With this spot, Sarah McLachlan has officially gone too far. I'm all for advocating the adoption of homeless pets, but that is ridiculous.

I didn't get TEN! I had Samsonite for the luggage-smashing primate.
It seems many people have them conflated on the web. Didn't Samsonite do a lot of luggage-smashing commercials? IIRC, one featured an elephant. There's even a page labeled "Samsonite Gorilla Commercial," but the commercial clearly says American Tourister in the YouTube title and at the end of the commercial itself. The announcer reminded me a little of Johnny Carson's sketch voices.

Thanks, Esto. I has Samsonite on the brain even though I had American Tourister on the key provided by LB.
The points have been updated accordingly.
