Saucy's little buddy has graduated

#1 Post by jaybee » Sat May 16, 2015 7:33 am

<proud dad font / on>

My youngest son graduated from High School yesterday. This is the same 'little guy' who the bored rallied around when he was severely injured in a car wreck at the age of four. He managed a 3.9 something GPA and wound up with a four-year, full-ride scholarship to UT Knoxville College of Engineering. I can't believe all that has happened so fast. 4-1/2 years ago he took the chance of leaving his assigned HS and most of the friends that he had gone through earlier grades with to enroll in an experimental STEM HS that at that time, did not even exist. Yesterday he became a part of the 106 students who were the first full graduating class from the L&N Stem academy.

Middle son graduated Cum Laude exactly a week earlier with a civil engineering degree from UTK. He'll be moving to Australia early this Fall.

Whoo hoo! Congratulations to both!
