Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Further inspection reveals a flaw in the wording of one of the questions:

5- The northernmost of the Nordic countries.

It only took until Day 2 for me to screw it up!

I'll sort it out on Wednesday. Sorry!

Answers and points:

1- The largest of the Nordic countries, land-wise.
Sweden

2- Legos began here.
Denmark

3- Sauli Niinistö is the president of this Nordic country.
Finland

4- This Nordic country is the birthplace of modern skiing (the word “ski” means “piece of wood” in the host language).
Norway

5- The northernmost of the Nordic countries.
Iceland (but it's really Norway)

I blew this question. I wanted Iceland because it's "situated" the northernmost, latitude-wise. Of course, three others creep a little farther north:

I should have asked for the nothernmost capital or just picked another question!

The true answer is Norway. But I accepted Iceland or Norway. I also may have thrown someone off based on my note stating each country is used twice. This isn't true because of this question. I can't unring that bell, so we'll all just live with my gaffe. My apologies.

It's probably Beebs' fault.

w00T!

I thought I was blowing it by ignoring the "each answer is used twice" clue, but I really couldn't think how I could change my answers to make that work.
