Beware of gerbils

After 8 centuries, rats exonerated in spread of Black Death. Gerbils implicated.

Whenever I get the Black Plague, I always blame prairie dogs.

Nah, they can't help themselves. The plague is kinda like a common cold for prairie dogs. But they are responsible for Monkeypox of all things!

In Colorado, a more common four-footer spread the plague.

Dog Infects Humans With Plague for First Time in US

A pit bull got pneumonic plague, and passed it to his owner and three other two-footers. The dog may have caught it from prairie dogs.
