Did anybody here take the J! test last night?

#1 Post by Kazoo65 » Wed Apr 15, 2015 7:40 am

I skipped this round, and I think I'm glad I did.

On the J! bored, there are a lot of posts about technical glitches that happened last night during the test. Some people weren't able to see the first couple of questions. I wonder if Sony is still having some issues related to the hack last December.

There were lots of comments about the test itself. J! posted the questions and answers on their FB page after the test, so you can figure out how you did. I looked at it and it appeared to be one of the harder online tests they've come up with. Lots of geography stuff-so be warned if you take tonight's version.

I'm still waiting for them to put Detroit or Chicago on their audition schedule.
I'm just a game show nerd.

I had password trouble last night, but I'm logged in and waiting to take the test, tonight!

And the more geography and less pop culture they have, the better for me! :)

Took it tonight. I did pretty well, better than if I had taken the east coast test.

Took it tonight. After all the trouble with not getting the confirmation letter and creating another login with a different e-mail, the second login didn't work and the first one did. Go figure. At least it's the e-mail address I normally use.

Probably passed. If not, it was close. Brain farts on two questions that I shoulda had where I got the answer three questions later. Chad will enjoy seeing one of the questions. Now time to relax. Glad that's over, whatever the outcome.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

I'll de-lurk to say that I felt good about tonight's test. Last question was in the wheelhouse, it's good omen.

I forgot. Maybe I'll remember tomorrow night.

Between 38-42 depending on how the computer accepts some of my answers. Kicking myself for not reading the Before and After category on the Catherine the Great Gatsby.

Guess I'm not taking it this year unless I hurry up & register, because I can't requalify anyway under their 18-month rule, but I'd like to remind people that once you've entered your answer (unless they've changed this) you don't have to press "enter" or whatever & get to next Q; the system will give you the full 15 secs (or whatever), accept your answer, & pass on to the next Q anyway. That breathing time really helped me to pass 1-1/4 years ago.

Its bad that the practise test doesn't replicate the real-test format this time around (its not timed). I did take the practise & got I think 12 wrong, which would pass but just barely. Time-pressure, if I'd had it, might have actually helped me get the 6 or so I actually knew that I gave up on right, strangely enough.

I just checked yesterday's answers and found I got 42 right.

Yup, it was close, but on the wrong side. If the memory of my answers is correct, I got a 34, maybe a 33 depending on their accepting one answer. Wrong guess on a one-of-two choice, several brain farts (more than just two; not only being unable to come up with an answer, but coming up with the wrong one and fully believing it to be correct), one misreading of the category ... Dang. Another year of attempting to become a contestant down the toilet.

I didn't have the time until tonight to take the test, but I got either 45 or 46, depending on whether they give me credit for stupidly adding Suite after Nutcracker.

Took the test Tuesday, got 44 out of 50, with pop culture being my nemesis. I missed a TV and two pop music questions of the 6 total I missed.
