Allegiance cancelled

#1 Post by Bob78164 » Sat Mar 07, 2015 3:47 am

Any chance NBC will air the remaining episodes of Allegiance, which it has cancelled? --Bob

Usually, they burn off whatever episodes have been filmed later on, generally on Saturday nights in the summer.

FX does it better (and more credibly) and they call it The Americans. The idea of Russian sleeper agents in the cold war era is credible; the present day plot of Allegiance never was.

Besides on The Americans, Keri Russell gets to take her clothes off.

Looks like they're burning off the remaining episodes on NBC.com. --Bob

That may be the new way of handling episodes in the can that they don't want to air -- or might air during the doldrums of summer reruns.

I noticed about a month after Manhattan Love Story was cancelled by ABC that when I went to the "on demand" section of my cable that the series was still on their list -- even though normally only the most recent four weeks of a series is available. Just for grins, I drilled into the menu, and it looked like they had the entire run of episodes on the menu (double-digit number of episodes), including those that hadn't (and wouldn't) air.

I would guess they'll make the episodes available on Hulu as well.
