Eugene Patton dead at 82

Eugene Patton died on Monday at age 82, as per WInk Martindale Facebook's page. He was an NBC stagehand who became known for his appearances as Gene Gene the Dancing Machine on the 70s GOng SHow.

We scheduled our break between classes in college around this show. The commons room was packed everyday when the show was on. When Gene would get up and dance, we would jump and start dancing like him. Couple guys brought paper bags for the Unknown Comic, but that didn't go over as well. Bye Gene Gene, RIP.
