A California attorney has paid the $200 filing fee and now will circulate initiative petitions to qualify the "Sodomite Suppression Act" for the ballot. --Bob

I wonder if this would pass the "equal protection" clause, or whatever, of the Constitution since women are not subject to this law, generally.

No. It so clearly contravenes both the State and Federal Constitutions for a variety of reasons that I doubt the California courts would ever let it reach the ballot, even if he were able to purchase enough signatures to qualify it. --Bob

It so clearly contravenes commons sense, too, but that's not been 100% effective and preventing stupid laws.
