Thieves here in Georgia have stolen the race car of Travis Kvapil for the upcoming NASCAR race in Atlanta. It appears Kvapil will have to withdraw from the race. Because racers score points based on their finish in each race, this will really hurt their chances for qualifying for the championship at the end of the year. I'm not sure what the thieves have to gain by this, since the team will be able to get a replacement car by next week. The car was stored in a trailer which was also stolen.
The Duke boys are going to be real happy this weekend. They finally have a replacement for the General Lee.

Re: Nascar Race Car Stolen
Most of the speculation I have seen on their motives leans toward the idea that they did not know what they were stealing. Unless they drive all the way to Rick's in Las Vegas, not many pawn shops are in the market for one of a kind items like that.
That is probably why they dumped it once they got inside the trailer and saw what they had.
