This is not a joke. These are real bills, and they are currently taking priority in the Montana legislature over anything legitimate that would improve jobs, Montana’s economy, or the health and well-being of our citizens.

Nutjob Bills in the Montana Legislature

Re: Nutjob Bills in the Montana Legislature
The problem is that the folks who voted them in don't think of them as nutjobs. Which should give one pause.
BTW -- the "hunting with silencers" thing is something that seems to have taken a life of it's own in several state legislatures. My friends who are common-sense gun advocates think it's not the brightest thing, and pretty much useless; the supressor (a more accurate name) still makes a fair bit of noise in the direction of fire (despite the Hollywood depiction), so it doesn't mean the animal that you tried to shoot (and miss) won't react to it. What it will do is to keep the game wardens from hearing them as easily, and that seem to be the consensus of my friends as to the true purpose -- or maybe it's a "we want it just because we can" thing among the gun zealots. I don't know.

I'm just wondering if Rep. Doc Moore could define what a "prosthetic anus" is.

Re: Nutjob Bills in the Montana Legislature
This is a very bad idea. Only the most well-designed and installed silencers (or suppressors), along with user proficiency, can assure continued accuracy. My worst fear as a hunter is wounding an animal so that it suffers before I can find it, and I think a suppressor would add to that possibility for most hunters.SpacemanSpiff wrote:The problem is that the folks who voted them in don't think of them as nutjobs. It must be tough on you and Bill O'Reilly, being the only sane, honest non-nutjobs in a world of lying leftist nutjobs.flockofseagulls104 wrote:This is a nutjob blog post, written by a nutjob leftist with her own axe to grind, quoted to us, unasked for, by our very own nutjob.

Are you saying that those bills weren't introduced? Or are we simply to ignore them until one manages to slip through? --Bobflockofseagulls104 wrote:This is a nutjob blog post, written by a nutjob leftist with her own axe to grind, quoted to us, unasked for, by our very own nutjob.

Re: Nutjob Bills in the Montana Legislature
I'm saying the description and interpretation of the bills and their motives are most probably extremely biased, exaggerated, hyped and taken out of context. There may well be a few right wing nut jobs that have managed to be elected in Montana, but they do not represent the Tea Party movement. If that is true, they are vastly outnumbered by the number of left wing nutjobs that currently operate out of Washington DC.Bob78164 wrote:Are you saying that those bills weren't introduced? Moreover, the premise of the whole article was to marginalize and ridicule the Tea Party Movement in general, and advance the ridiculous stereotypes about the Tea Party movement that are popularly propagandized by the left.
And lastly it was posted here, unasked for, by one of our resident useful idiots.
Aside from that, I have no problem with it.

At least they are putting forth such legislation within the constitutional rules in place, unlike the "hero" of our leftwing nuts who just makes laws unilaterally.
