Feeling old

#1 Post by gsabc » Mon Feb 23, 2015 7:17 pm

BD is 30 on Friday. Still my baby daughter, but 30 nonetheless. No way I'm old enough for my baby to be 30.*sigh*
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

I know how you feel. My BD will be 30 in June.

I know what you mean. My niece (my younger sister's daughter) is 25. --Bob

We're none of us as young as we used to be. Still, its better than the alternative.

My parents are younger than a number of people on this Bored, and I'll be turning 40 this Summer....

You are much younger than Abe Vigoda
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.
