I went with Good Hearted Woman because Willie duetted with Waylon that one, and Waylon Jennings is credited with participation in We Are the World. He walked out for a while, which may be why he's not in the video, but he gets a credit.

Harry Belafonte was a challenge. You'd be surprised how few songs titles feature the words Banana or Jamaica.

Despite the small wrong turn in the beginning, I'm delighted how quickly you guys got this one. I was afraid it might have been tough to spot.

The one unused song is unused because one song title is incorrect in an important way. Other than that, you don't even need to tell me that this is all right.

Oh, and conductor Quincy Jones should be credited alongside James Ingram.

Identify the 75 songs in the clues below. (Most are from the pop charts, but we make a few excursions elsewhere.) Then, match them into 18 pairs and 13 triples according to a Tangredi, or principle you must discover for yourself. Alternate matches may be possible – though I tried awfully hard to avoid it – but only one solution will complete the entire game.

For two matches, I had to stretch a point – but not to the breaking point. It was necessary to complete the puzzle. You’ll see.

Also, one of the matches is an Über-match that’s somewhat different from the other 30. You’ll see.

Got it!

Thanks frank for the great game! This is the first Tangredi game I was actually able to really help in! In other words.... thanks for a break from the movie themes!

And now, I believe this is the final, correct answer!

Game #150: Pearl Jam

Identify the 75 songs in the clues below. (Most are from the pop charts, but we make a few excursions elsewhere.) Then, match them into 18 pairs and 13 triples according to a Tangredi, or principle you must discover for yourself. Alternate matches may be possible – though I tried awfully hard to avoid it – but only one solution will complete the entire game.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I enjoyed seeing the light bulb go off this morning, just as I was about to step in and say that most of the matches were right but the Tangredi wasn't.

I did quite a few lyrics games in the GC. But since coming here, I haven't wanted to step on the toes of Lyrically Speaking unless I came up with an idea that wouldn't work in the other format. I'll try to come up with more; it saves the drudgery of writing clues!

Perfect timing on the completion of this game. Last night, I finished writing all of the clues for my next Tangredi game. If nobody else has a game ready to go, I can post the game some time next week.

I wouldn't exactly call it a "wrong turn". I call it "the scenic route to the correct Tangredi". :)

After all, most of the song titles that I formed based on my incorrect theme actually worked for the correct theme. Beast spotted the correct theme within my ramblings.

It was just a cosmic coincidence how that worked itself out.

And, in a game with Would You Rather Be a Colonel, etc. already in it, Louis Prima's "A Banana Split for My Baby" would have been a sure sign that something was up. :D :D

AND, as I explained to Boonie on the way down, Frank Tangredi would never, ever use "Loving You Has Made Me Bananas" because it's NOT the Bananas Boat Song.

Daylight come and I gotta get off the computer.
