Off to Rio Rancho NM tomorrow

#1 Post by christie1111 » Tue Feb 17, 2015 8:07 pm

Getting to ABQ is not easy from CT but I hope it isn't too bad.

Unfortunately I have to come back Thursday night. Probably will barely get a good dinner.

Have to visit/inspect a 3rd party manufacturing site. A bit of a formality but it needs to be done.

And I used to like to travel on company business. But it has changed so much.

It would be so much nicer if you could stay just one day for pleasure rather than work. :(

That's way too far for such a quick trip. Next time you're out this way, stay an extra day! We'll dash over to Santa Fe for some Southwest hospitality.

I hope they're not manufacturing blue crystals.

This may be a stupid question, but why aren't you flying?

What makes you think she is not flying?

From where she lives in CT to ABQ is 2,053 miles, or 31 hours driving (according to Google). She is leaving today (Wednesday) and returning Thursday. Would be difficult to do driving, but I guess she could with no sleep or stops other than for gas.

I'm sure there are no direct flights, few options, and timing gets you there late or coming back makes you leave early so there is little time on the ground. I'm sure that is what she meant by "difficult".

That would be it BiT.

I a connecting through DFW. I heard there is a good restaurant on the second floor of one of the terminals. Not sure which one but I hope it is the American one.

I got delayed for an hour on the plane at the gate on the way out so missed dinner. Well, I ate but an individual pizza was not what I hoped to eat while in NM. No green Hatch chilies in any meal.
