1099-MISC for $1,000 Winnings?

1099-MISC for $1,000 Winnings?
Hello - does Millionaire send you a 1099-MISC if you walked away with the $1,000 prize? I imagine they would, but I have not yet received one. Do you think they mail them on the 31st?

Since they're not required to mail them until January 31 (which was a weekend), they might not have mailed them until today.
And they will mail you one for $1000. If you don't get it within a week or so, contact them.

Thank you! ...and not to make you all my new tax accountants, but this means I also need to file a NY state return in addition to my current state, correct?

Only if you live out of state. The show tapes in Connecticut this season, so Connecticut laws would likely apply rather than New York laws.
