It was 37 years ago today that we had a blizzard. It closed school for a week, and many businesses in both Michigan and Ohio were also closed. Parts of Indiana and Ontario were also affected.
The storm in the Northeast reminds me of that one. I was just looking at the Weather Channel website with the storm totals they are predicting. Hopefully any BBs in the path of this storm are well stocked with food and supplies-you may be snowed in for a while!

All should be fine as long as we don't lose power. It is going to be way to windy to have a fire in the fireplace.

Cook up a storm while you still have power, christie!
We're just brushing the edge of it, here. Got about 3" of snow today. It's supposed to taper off tonight and be gone by tomorrow, when you New Englanders will be getting hammered.

I lived in Connecticut in 1978, and we had a blizzard too, 37 years ago this week. I'm glad I moved to Pennsylvania three years later.

I was born in Wisconsin. For 15 years we had blizzards. We moved to Seattle. Now that was better...
Well, then

We had 15 inches of snow last week (on Super Bowl Sunday) and now we are under a windchilll advisory tomorrow morning. I would not be surprised if they cancel school-although they've already used up their "free" snow day allotment-if any more happen, the kids will have to make them up in June.
