RIP Stuart Scott

#1 Post by silverscreenselect » Sun Jan 04, 2015 9:24 am

ESPN anchorman who kept working (and working out) throughout his lengthy battle with cancer. His speech (see below, along with Kiefer Sutherland's introduction) at the ESPY Awards last summer is the most moving moment on ESPN since Jim Valvano's similar speech years earlier.

Age 49.

As cool as the other side of the pillow.

This morning, ESPN also showed the SNL skit where Ray Romano's sportscaster, in his first day on ESPN, tries to come up with catch phrases (Sweet Sassy Molassy) as Tim Meadows' Stuart Scott (his anchor partner) yells, and everything spirals out of control.

Makes me laugh every time.
