Today was/is a good day for TLAF.
The last couple of days haven't been good. She has been agitated and irritable. She kept asking about my kids and said she was just talking to her sisters. Also said, when I mentioned that a family friend passed away 10 years ago that I was keeping things from her.
I have no kids. Her sisters have all been dead for at least 10 years (except for her baby sister, my Aunt Lucy). And she was at the funeral with me for that family friend.
AND she was sniping at the nurses and nurses aides. Normally, she banters and not snipes. They were concerned as well.
Fluid samples were collected for analysis to see where we go next.
Today, I went to see her. She was OK. Then, we (one of the aides and myself) took her downstairs to see Andy, the guitar-playing sing-along guy (as opposed to Joe, who plays the keyboards for his sing-along).
Andy's song range from old Tin Pan Alley stuff to show tunes to Yellow Rose of Texas to rockabilly.
TLAF knows the words to Whole Lotta Shakin' Going On. I did not know that.
She was still at the sing-along when I left. Singing.
Treasuring the little things.
