Stoopid Jericho - The Finale

#1 Post by MarleysGh0st » Wed Mar 26, 2008 8:32 am

Meh.
Spoiler
They knew they had to wrap it up tonight, so allow gaping holes in the plot that the Titanic could have sailed through with ease.

J&R has the bomb and they (at least their head honchos) know this is their ultra top secret highest priority item, so they've barely got half a dozen guards around it?

They chase Jake and Hawkins to the Texan embassy, but they neglect to cover the back entrances, so that they can later drive all the way to the airport without being caught? (And why does Texas call itself the "Independent Republic of Texas"? Wouldn't the "Republic of Texas" say as much while being far more historical?)

Of course, Jake can't follow orders and let Hawkins sacrifice himself to buy time. And this being television, he gets away with it and manages to take off with plenty of time.

And then the ASA can't intercept the plane until it's almost to the Texan border?

And, meanwhile, back in Jericho, did Stanley just walk into the morgue to ask for Bonnie's body to take home and bury?

And is Beck planning to show the evidence on that laptop to every military force they meet from now on, now that he's joined the rebellion?

I can see how this episode left open the possibility for another season, but it's just as well that there won't be one.

I agree. Every obstacle was coincidentally overcome every step of the way. Still, since the show was cancelled, I'm happier that they managed a positive ending instead of leaving loyal viewers hanging or depressed.

There might be another season, if a cable channel is willing to take it, AND if the actors can be brought back AND the sets can be rebuilt (I read on the scifi.com news wire that there's another show shooting on the soundstage that Jericho used and so most of the sets have either been put into storage or eliminated. I doubt there's much of a chance (the SciFi Channel has been suggested as a good place - and they obviously have lots of money to spend, considering the dreadful "movies of the week" they film).

The finale is already!

I am so disappointed.

Last one I saw, they killed the deaf girl.

How many more do I have?

I think you have three more episodes after that one.

Wow!

The writers have their work cut out for them.
