No, we decided to try to do both parks in one day was overly ambitious. Especially since we didn't want to stay into the evening - we had to get back to the hotel in Culver City so I could get a good night's sleep, plus we were meeting some friends (another family) for dinner who had come out with us for the J! experience but not Disney.

I grew up in Florida and made many, many day trips to Disneyworld as a tween and teen. In fact, I know DW so well that being at DL was at times kind of strange - "When did they move that over there? Oh yeah, I'm in California."

Oh, yeah. When we were giving you travel suggestions, we didn't know, of course, that you had excellent reasons for not making the visit too exhausting! :)

Nicest thing to hear about this for me is that instead of putting you in a "death" file like BAM has done with some of us, J! instead put you in a "still alive" file & actually consulted the file & gave you a call, even though it came well over the year they often say is "cutoff point" for expecting one.

Way to go, show & contestant.

Now, someone re-alert me when June 16 rolls around!

Congratulations! That is indeed some good news. It also offers some encouragement to those waiting in the pool. I am looking forward to your air date.

Congratulations and ex post facto good luck wishes.

Your patience is certainly a virtue-- you will have gone more than two years from your test to your broadcast. When I was on, I had tested in July (and was told that IF I got The Call, it would be sometime within the next two to four months), I got The Call in October (three months after testing), I taped in November (four months after testing), and aired in February and March (just over 7 months after testing)-- and I thought THAT was a huge delay, so your two years puts it very much into perspective. And your not giving up.

I believe my entire experience was within one year.....tested in April....they called in July (told them I couldn't do it in September-are you listening cal?) they called back in January to tape in February. First show aired on Good Friday, which was a good Friday, and second show aired on April Fools Day. Yes, I was the fool on that day.

Oh, and I didn't wear a tiara to my audition....so it must have been my innate charm and good looks....

Congrats! This is most excellent news!!!

Hope things went well for you at the taping. Or, more accurately, are "still going" well for you at the tapings. Ifyaknowwhaddimean. :D

Most importantly: I hope you had/are having fun. We will be watching for you...

Huge congrats on Jeopardy! Please remind us when the episode(s) air!
I guess I'm in the Jeopardy pool too. I went in for an audition after the online test earlier this month and they implied we were all in the pool for the next 18 months. So I guess we could be swimming for a very long time here!

I don't recall whether I've already said this, but retroactive good luck to you. You have a Private Message. --Bob
