ALS Day 17 Tough Tuesday Second Day

#1 Post by mrkelley23 » Wed Aug 27, 2014 5:02 am

Now you may look at others' song guesses and post a new guess at the theme in this thread. Remember, you're only allowed to look at others' answers in that other thread, not this one.

Hints:

1. All of the "clue words" are in the title this time, no artist clues.
2. No pairs or Tangredi style game this time, just twelve songs that fit a theme.
3. Krox bonuses should be a little easier for this theme than some others, since there are more than twelve items that fit the theme, and many, many alternate song titles for some of the items I did use.

Theme guess?

Krox?

Spoiler
So stealing answers from others, we have all but #7:

Money
Junior's Farm
Lawyers in Love
Hot for Teacher
Electric Avenue
Cars
?
New York State of Mind
War
A House Is Not a Home
Too Much Monkey Business
Palisades Park

I thought it was going toward The Sopranos (money, Junior, lawyers, cars, war, New York - I know it was from New Jersey, chill out, Marley!) but too many don't fit. It could be another TV show like Game of Thrones or some other premium network show, but I don't watch enough TV to know it.

Okay, I gots nothin', but I'm sure it's quite clever.

For the heck of it, I looked up #7. It made me laugh hard... and I could see why none of us recognized it.

Even with that missing song title, I'm no closer to the theme than I was yesterday. I'll stick with my initial guess and Krox.

The theme seems to be cabinet departments. I believe I used that as a Theme Thursday once with Blago as the host...

I was thinking along the same lines as Vandal, along with a couple other possibilities, but I still can't make them ALL fit into any of them.
