Live from Atlanta; It's Silver Screen Videos!!!
Our long national nightmare is over.
After being offline for several years since my former internet provider turned into a multilevel marketing company dedicated to producing some type of gasoline additive and put all my content in the tank with it, I've finally got my website up and running again, and I invite everyone to take a look. Please let me know what you think... good or bad, either in public or private.
There is a blog, at Silver Screen Central, but it's still not working and it may not have the functionality I want so I may want to get an external blog, but the rest of the site should be working, including the e-mail signups and Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter connections. When I do get the blog running, I'll have comments enabled, but it's going to be a nonpolitical, entertainment oriented blog.
If you see any mistakes such as typos, broken links, etc. (other than the blog which I know isn't working yet), please let me know. And you're more than welcome to click through any of my product links and buy some goodies so I can make a huge commission.

I get an "under construction" notice when I click on the link on the bottom of your page.

It should be working (except for the blog page). Well that was an experience.
I finally got what they call a blog running and find that it's about as rudimentary a blog as you can get, essentially just the ability to quickly enter in a group of scrolling entries. I got directed to the introductory page of the blog software, which was dated in 2008, which told me about all the improved features that would be coming soon, but there hasn't been one single update in six years. So, I won't be using their blogging software.
Fortunately, I've got the ability to set up three different websites with the package I've got, so I can upload Wordpress software and set up a Wordpress blog on Network Solutions' server using one of my other domain names and hopefully import the themes from my existing site so that the blog looks pretty much the same as the rest of the site.
If and when I ever get another job interview, I'll have a heck of a war story to tell them about getting this site up and running.

Got home after work and it was fine on my Ipad and desktop. I wonder if SSS changed the DNS from pointing to an "under construction" site to his actual one. Actually, I changed the DNS some time ago. The web builder software has its own "under construction" sign that it points to until you publish your site for the first time (in fact, they've got a one-page "mini-site" template you can set up in a couple of minutes that gives basic information and tells people to wait until the main site is ready but I didn't do that).Bob Juch wrote: I wonder if SSS changed the DNS from pointing to an "under construction" site to his actual one. When I published the site, I waited until I was able to access it, which took a few minutes, before making the announcement. I guess some systems take longer than others to "get the word."
