One of the great names in B-movie cinema has died. Golan headed Cannon Films, responsible for many of the finest "classics" featuring Sylvester Stallone, Chuck Norris, and Charles Bronson. The studio actually produced a few quality movies like Meryl Streep's dingo movie, A Cry in the Dark, but they were best known for shlock, including Superman IV and my own near cinematic debut, Invasion USA, with Chuck Norris. Golan also directed a number of movies, most notably Delta Force.
Age 85.
