I am a saint!
Dad (87, partially deaf, doesn't walk very well) has decided that he HAS to go to the Jays game in Seattle next week.
I am on holidays, so I HAVE to go with him, taking a high speed catamaran to Seattle, sit in Safeco in the lower decks behind 1st baseline watching my Beloved Blue Jays, drinking cheap beer, eating hotdogs, and then I HAVE to stay at the Sliver Cloud hotel beside the ballpark, and go in the rooftop hot tub, and sit in Jimmy's on First, testing martinis.
I hope you all realize what a sacrifice I am making....

Re: I am a saint!
I kinda feel like this when my cous takes us out to dinner at very pricey Manhattan restaurants within a mile radius of cous's apt. Cous take themself out to dinner every other night practically, & whoever is taking care of them or even visiting them goes with. But I'm enough of an unsaint that I wish cous had tastes that ran to more ethnic in restaurants. Italian is about as ethnic in restaurant taste as cous gets, but even so they're on a "restaurant rotation" so I don't often get to the choice Italian one. Which is closing in a year because the owner of the building is forcing them out, but that's another story.

One can only endeavor to persevere, Sauce. Try to hang in there.
