We lost fairly decisively. I'd feel a lot better about losing if I could say I played well, but instead I had my worst session of the tournament. We might well have lost anyway, but it would sit a lot better if I'd done my best.

Oh well. Two more days of bridge to try to win more glory and masterpoints. --Bob

Kevin and Steve, two of my teammates in the Flight B GNT earlier this week, won the 0-1500 mini-Spingold. --Bob

I'll be there only if I win my way there for the third straight Spring Nationals.

We played what turned out to be (for us) a one-session knockout event, so we'll be playing a one-session Swiss tonight. --Bob

Second in the Swiss. One final event today and then it's time to drive back home and re-enter the real world. --Bob

Played the two-session A/X Swiss. Finished tied for 5/6 overall and won X with 91 Victory Points. Thus concludes my biggest tournament ever with 92.35 masterpoints and my biggest ever single-event haul. Heading home now. --Bob

Thanks. It turns out I got the arithmetic wrong. I won only 89.35 points in Las Vegas. I am presently a little more than 7 points below the 2500 cutoff for Flight B Grand National Teams, which will be decided by the ACBL's August computer cycle, usually run on the 6th of the month.

Orange County will probably be my next regional but there are several local sectionals I expect to play in August, including my home unit's. One of those sectionals occurs on August 2-3 and therefore will likely be recorded in the August cycle. --Bob
