I'm embarrassed to show you my Boneys..

Looking over the list, I am left wondering if my musical taste has gone into the crapper. The Top 10 alone features a (for all intent and purposes) a DISCO song (did you hear that, LB???), a duet featuring a Nickolodeon 'tween series "actress", and someone who I was pretty damn sure would NEVER EVER EVER score a Boney..I can't even write her name without shuddering. To add to the general craziness, it also has a Stephen Bishop remake, a Sinatra-esque crooner, a group that got its name from a Monty Python sketch, and a tune that features the musical hook of the year...although I still can't figure out if it's a trumpet, or a synthesizer that sounds like one.

Well, despite the potential embarrassment, I promised to be honest with my lists...so, honesty you shall get. Just don't let the kiddies see the list, as there will be appearances by some barenaked ladies and a bare-illes or three. EEEK!!!

If you're referring to Talk Dirty, and what else could it possibly be, because that song is the shiz (2CHAAAAYNZ!!!!!!!), it's a saxophone. Despite them showing it being played on trumpets in the video, ha!

I'm thinking he's referring to Safe And Sound.... which he hinted in the LSWE would be scoring high this year...

I can't wait to find out how many of my Mecca songs make the list this year!

I guess it didn't impress me that much, since I can't even remember a hook in that song and I heard it approximately 48408580933 times (not entirely of my own will, although I liked it okay the first 5833 or so times).

Maybe I just think that the DeRulo hook is the greatest thing since sliced bread since I'm partial to Bollywood anyway.

Like it or not, I have heard of it, so there's one on the Songs Fanny Has Heard Of List already....ha!

Just went back and looked at the previous Boneys lists to see how many of the honored songs have been on one of the five Mecca CD's that have been greeting Squiggly customers over the past year and a half. I'll provide the full list of songs after the new Boneys are unveiled, but for now....

2007 - 1
2008 - 3
2009 -
2010 - 2
2011 - 3
2012 - 15!!!

Not surprising since so many of the Mecca songs are recent.... but will this year's list top 2012?
