I got tonight's FJ right and Ken Jennings didn't!!

None of the contestants on TV did. At least KJ didn't bet very much muney, and as pretty much expected, he advanced to the next round in the Battle of the Decades tourney-which I think he will win.
I'm just a game show nerd.

I didn't get it. I said Philadelphia; SteelersFan said New York.

I got all the triple stumpers, including FJ.

I guessed Battle Creek. I didn't think it was right, but if you don't try, you can't possibly have a correct response. --Bob

I, too, got FJ and Ken didn't.

OTOH, he's won seventy-some games and a couple of million dollars on the show, and I didn't.

Somehow, I think he got the better end of that deal.

I tuned in to just the tail end of the show, after FJ before rewinding my tape (remember tape??). KJ's expression was so glum I was thinking he'd lost! He had a real scowl on at times during the show, though he did periodically brighten up.

No, I did not get FJ. I had no clue. But I did get a few other of the triple-stumpers, earlier. I also have not won billions & billions of moolah, either.

I was surprised that no one got the FJ! on Friday - I knew it as soon as I read it.

"It was one of those pictures... so contrived that the eyes follow you beneath" the picture was this 5-word quote.
Spoiler
Big Brother is watching you.
On the J! board there were complaints about the poor wording of the clue.

The answer made sense to me after they revealed it, but there was nothing in the clue that led me to that answer. "Pictures" had me think of "The Picture of Dorian Gray" but then I couldn't think of any quote associated with that. Although the correct answer is a 5-word quote, knowing that didn't work as a clue that led me to the answer.

I probably got it so easily because I've read the book a number of times.

My money (metaphorically speaking) is on Brad Rutter. He has never lost to a human.

And before any nitpickers come out, I don't consider his coming in 3rd in the Watson match as losing to KJ.
