Never mind. I guess it was UConn that was underseeded.

Re: March Madness bracket contest
Michigan State totally choked in the second half. That dropped my bracket about 3,000 places. So now I'll have to run the table on the rest of my picks to get back in the 100th percentile.
On a somewhat related note, I should note that I am not related to #44 of the Michigan Wolverines. His last name is Bielfeldt (2 Es, not 3).

Aaron Harrison. That's all I have to say.

So much for the "fantasy final" the local paper was predicting last week.
Michigan played well, but they just kind of lost steam toward the end.
Maybe next year....

I think that if Florida beats Kentucky in the final I win the WWTBAM pool. Woo Hooo!
Any other result favors Snaxx.

Re: March Madness bracket contest
I checked and I think it is even simpler than that, it comes down to Kentucky (AJ) vs. Wisconsin (Snaxx) with the winner staying on top because both picked Florida and no one who picked another team to win has a chance. If Florida does not win the NCAA, then none of the pool players will have picked the winner.andrewjackson wrote:I think that if Florida beats Kentucky in the final I win the WWTBAM pool. Woo Hooo!

Re: March Madness bracket contest
Congrats to AJ for clinching first place in this group!
The semifinals KO'd everyone, while AJ was the only one to get one of the final two, picking Kentucky over Wisconsin.

Re: March Madness bracket contest
Kudos to AJ for being the only one to pick a finalist and winning the group.
At first I thought it was a poor showing by our group, but then I checked out the "Celebrity Group" which includes many of the ESPN B-ball analysts.
http://games.espn.go.com/tournament-cha ... oupID=3114
Compared to them, we did pretty well.
WWTBAM average points = 649.33, Group Rank 4331
Celebrity Central average points = 594.65, Group Rank 25892 (they also have no PPR)
I have not confirmed if the WWTBAM average points includes the "participant" who made no picks and had zero points.

Yay!!!
I'd like to thank all the upsets. Definitely more valuable than all my terrible picks in the first couple of rounds.
