Thanks. I got hooked up with a very capable player from the Ausin area. Unfortunately, I didn't play all that well and Lady Luck wasn't smiling on us, so we didn't scratch and didn't qualify for the final day. So it's either regional pairs or a Compact Knockout tomorrow. --Bob

The Silidor Pairs and the Platinum Pairs are the toughest events at the Spring NABC.

Qualified for the "loser Swiss" this afternoon and then lost our consolation match by 1 IMP. I'm still 0 for the tournament. --Bob

Won a couple of matches so at least I haven't been completely shut out for the tournament, but there's no way to characterize yesterday as anything other than disappointing. Today is the start of North American Pairs Flight B, the event the League is paying me to play. It would be great to improve on last year's fourth-place finish. --Bob

Thanks. We were somewhat sloppy today so I'm happy to have qualified third. The leaders had a 70% game in the first session and backed it with a pretty good game in the evening, so we've definitely got our work cut out for us. --Bob

Interim report: Didn't have much of a game but the pairs ahead of us did worse. We're second going into the last session. Wish us luck (of the appropriate variety). --Bob

Didn't close the deal. Didn't even match last year's finish. Ended up eighth. At least that got me over 100 points for the year to date. --Bob

The organizers need to get with the times and offer in-game purchases like Candy Crush Saga. Then you could have all the points you want.

By the way, my brother played the previous weekend in that tournament, but I think he was gone before you arrived.
