Spoiler
And so we have come to the final game of the 2014 LSWE. I can not believe how quickly this year's edition came and went! I really wish I had a big finish game like I usually have every season... but alas, you will have to make do with this game made up of songs I pulled from the Music Choice channels on my cable system. I chose the eight channels that play a lot of songs I would normally use in the LSWE:

Solid Gold Oldies (50's and 60's)
70's
80's
90's
Y2K (2000's, of course!)
Party Favorites (Supposed to be upbeat, get up and dance songs... but some of the songs they play on this channel would actually kill a party)
Soft Rock
Classic Rock

I flipped through them until I got four songs from each channel... and the order you see above repeats through all 32 songs in this game (For example: songs #1, 9, 17 and 25 were pulled from Solid Gold Oldies). There should be plenty of opportunity here to make up points to fight for positions or reach any major milestones you were striving for.... well, except for the #1 spot, that one seems to be locked up....

From me and all of my Merry Men (including the ones I hijacked for a game this year), thank you very much for playing the 2014 LSWE! Enjoy the final game!

1 point for the title, 1 point for the artist...

1. I used to play around with hearts that hastened at my call,
But when I met that little girl I knew that I would fall
Jail Bait/I Like 'Em Young - Ted Nugent

2. To my surprise one hundred stories high
People getting loose now, getting down on the roof
Disco Inferno - The Trammps
Thanks, I'd finally gotten that image of John Travolta out of my head and then you have to listen to go and listen to a song from Saturday Night Fever...sigh.

Remember, this one???

Holding hands while the walls come tumbling down
When they do, I'll be right behind you

Seemed a harmless little fuck
Ooh, but we unleashed a lion
Gnashed his teeth and bit the recess lady`s breast
Taylor Swift

How'd I turn my shirt inside out? (inside outright)
Control your poison babe
Roses have thorns they say

Caused a good strong woman like you to walk out my life
Now I never, never get to clean up the mess I made, ohh...
And it haunts me every time I close my eyes
When I Was Your Man - Bruno Mars

Pete Burns does a great cover too. Yes, one last gratuitous Pete Burns photo!!!

Now that you're near
Promise your love

Sidewalk Surfin - Jan & Dean (What in the name of Kopy Kat was going on between Jan & Dean and the Beach Boys back in the day anyway? When I came across this song, I swore it was Catch a Wave... which several people actually guessed!)
To answer your question, the Beach Boys released "Catch a Wave" in 1963. Jan and Dean heard the song and decided to adapt it for skateboarding, just then catching on as a craze. They got permission from Brian Wilson and rewrote the lyrics, releasing it in 1964. It wasn't nearly as popular as "Catch a Wave" - "Sidewalk Surfin'" peaked at #25 (how coincidental!).
"Elen sila lumenn omentielvo...A star shines on the hour of our meeting."

..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.

Revolution is when you decide that for yourself.
