Lyrically Speaking - 3/7/14

#1 Post by Cart Pusher » Fri Mar 07, 2014 7:46 am

Excuse me.... coming through with a train of 45 carts. (BANG!) Oops! That's the fifth BMW I've put a dent in today! Oh well, now that the lot is cleared, I have to come inside and help do other things... like this cart of customer returns. Dammit, I spend most of my time outside on the parking lot... I don't know where any of this crap goes! The stockers will get pissed at me if I hide... er, throw any of it in the wrong place! Would you mind helping a poor cart pusher out? There are twenty items hidden in the titles of the songs below and I need to get them to the correct department from the included list. Here, better yet you just take the cart and put the returns away while I go flirt with the new cashier at the jewelry counter....

1 point for the title, 1 point for the artist, 1 point for each correct department assigned to a song....

1. She said it`s cold it feels like Independence Day
And I can`t break away from this parade
But there`s got to be an opening somewhere here in front of me
Through this maze of ugliness and greed

2. I say go
She say yes
Dim the lights
You can guess the rest

3. It's not the things you do
That tease and wound me bad
But it's the way you do
The things you do to me

4. Now they make new movies
In old black and white
With happy endings
Where nobody fights

5. You keep saying you got something for me
Something you call love but confess
You've been a'messin' where you shouldn't 've been a'messin'
And now someone else is getting all your best

6. I`d ring out danger
I`d ring out a warning
I`d ring out love between
My brothers and my sisters
All over this land

7. I hear the rhythms of the music
I buy the product and never use it
I hear the talking of the DJ
Can`t understand just what does he say?

8. Now after lovin' me late at night
When it's good for you
And you're feeling alright
Well you just roll over
And you turn out the light

9. Put on your high heels shoes
I said we're goin' down here listen to em play blues
We're gonna dig potatoes
We're gonna pick tomatoes

10. I have a sad story to tell you.
It may hurt your feelings a bit.
Last night when I walked into my bathroom,
I stepped in a big pile of...

11. It goes round and round, up and down
Round and round, up and down
Round and round and a up and down
And a one two three kick, one two three jump

12. The place is crowded
Or maybe you don't like the beat
I got a two-track playing in my head
So let me take you somewhere else instead

13. Let your arms, shelter me from all hurt and pain
Mmm, light my heart, with your everlasting flame
Ooh, mmm-mmm

14. Go over there, turn on the light
Hey, all the lights
Come over here, stand on that chair
Yeah, that's right
Raise your arms up in the air
Now shake 'em

15. Something takes a part of me
Something lost and never seen
Every time I start to believe
Something's raped and taken from me, from me

16. Wearin' her perfume, Chanel No. 5
Got to be the finest girl alive
She walks real cool, catches everybody's eye
She's got such good lovin' that they can't say goodbye

17. Now she's gone
And I'm back on the beat
A stain on my notebook
Says nothing to me

18. You never care for secrets I confide
For you I'm just an ornament, somethin' for your pride
Always runnin', never carin', that's the life you live
Stolen minutes of your time were all ya had to give

19. I could make you happy, baby,
satisfy you, too.
But how can I if you won't give me a chance
to prove my love to you?

20. She was really bombed,
And I was really blown away,
Until I asked her what she wanted,
And this is what she had to say

Cart Pusher

Cart Pusher

Round and round, up and down
Round and round and a up and down

20. She was really bombed,
And I was really blown away,
Until I asked her what she wanted,
And this is what she had to say
Pearl Necklace - ZZ Top - P. Jewelry (Wait... you mean a ZZ Top song can't be taken at face value!?!?!? Why, I'm shocked!!!!!)
