Either this question sat in the pool for a long time or their definition of "recently" is different from mine: He said that in 2009.

Wow, the aunt was so sure it was scrapbooking?

Eleanor Burns championed the concept of 'strip piecing' which allows quilts to get done much quicker. She is known to take a strip of trimming and toss it over her shoulder, sort of as if it was a piece of clothing a la a stripper. All which is very tongue in cheek given her physique and grandmotherly like nature.

I have watched a few of her shows/YouTube videos but find her voice and delivery grating. I have watched anyway because she is most famous for her 'Quilt in a Day' series and they have a lot of excellent time saving tips which I often use.

But she is extremely well known in the quilting world.
