I know I say this every year, but it's true: Gonzaga was robbed!

I picked Gonzaga just because I like the way it feels to say it.

Didn't work out the way I had hoped.

It's the San Diego - UConn game that blows my mind, did any of us see this one coming?

I picked Davidson. Gonzaga made one good run in the tournament several years ago and has been overrated ever since.

Western Kentucky is the first and only upset I've picked right so far.....

Dammit, they're trying to get me out of the basement.....

As everyone else saw tonight, Stephen Curry has brought us a lot of fun this year at Davidson. His dad played for the Charlotte Hornets, among others, and was a marvelous 3-point shooter. Stephen wanted to attend Virginia Tech like his dad, but wasn't recruited.

He is happy to be at a terrific school - I recommend it for anyone considering a small private school near a mid-sized city but not in it. Like Duke, they do not lower their rather high admissions standards for athletes.

I attended a memorial service at the chapel there about 20 years ago, and the campus is beautiful. We filled the chapel with all six verses of "For All the Saints", with a trumpet on the final one. The honoree had directed the Oratorio Singers of Charlotte for decades, and had lived in Davidson.

Western Kentucky was one of the few upsets that came thru for me. Glad they did too because those others have my brackets in bad shape.
