Oh, the wonders of makeup

(For guys, mostly) If you ever wondered what you favorite female starlet looked like without that special Hollywood touch-up, have a look at these.

I think a quote from the Wizard of Oz is apropros: "And If I ever go looking for my heart's desire, i will look no further than my own backyard."

Whoa...that pic of Goldie Hawn is freightening! I mean scary, dude.

It looks like some of those gals actually have some make up on in the "no make- up" pics.

Heidi Klum is gorgeous no matter what.

As a photographer I have to say that it seems they used photos with the worst possible lighting. On the other hand, I used to have a book by Francesco Scavullo, former fashion photographer for Cosmo among many others. He talked about models and makeup etc. and he showed some of the super models with and without makeup. The transformation was amazing. Of course now they can do wonders with Photoshop.

Maybe that is why they insist on makeup for TV game show contestants. I know they had to work extra hard on my mostly bald forehead to keep the glare down to a reasonable level. :P

Especially if you have young women in your life.

It boggles my mind that after all the hair and make-up part, they still PhotoShop her.

I wonder why they even bother to hire models if they are going to Photoshop the pictures that much.

I've looked worse than all of them - and I am younger than some.
