Spoiler
It wouldn't be an LSWE if the Bored's favorite quartet didn't shuffle on in wearing our super cool vests and host a Wacky Wednesday game! We're even gonna be ultra sneaky and not tell you what the theme of today's game is... just because we want to be the ones to finally stump TBone! We will warn you, the theme is somewhat more specific than it may seem...

1 point for the title, 1 point for the artist...

1. There's still so much for me to do
And I can't stop loving you
Oh can this be true
I Wanna Bee Your Lover - Taylor Swift

2. Then the door was open and the wind appeared
The candles blew and then disappeared
The curtains flew and then he appeared
Don't Fear the Reaper - Blue Oyster Cult

3. Nothing's so loud
As hearing when we lie
The truth is not kind
And you've said neither am I
Ouch - The Squirrel Nut Zippers

4. Fight the feeling (fight the feeling)
Leave it alone (leave it alone)
Cause if it ain't love
It just ain't enough to leave a happy home
Boring Into U - The Worm

5. No is the saddest experience you'll ever know
Yes, it's the saddest experience you'll ever know
One - Three Dog Night

6. To the girls in Frisco to the girls in New York
To the girls in Texican you gotta understand
That baby I'm your man
Ride the Piece Train - Bat Stevens

7. A foxtrot above my head
A sock hop beneath my bed
A disco ball is just hanging by a thread
Fireflies - Owl City
   This was going to be my bonus answer!

8. Little child dry your crying eyes
How can I explain the fear you feel inside
Cause you were born into this evil world
Where man is killing man and no one knows just why
Escape from New York - Snake Pliskin

9. Oh, won't you come with me
And take my hand
Oh, won't you come with me
And walk this land
Please take my hand
In A Gadda Da Vida - Iron Butterfly

10. Paranoia strikes deep
Into your life it will creep
It starts when you're always afraid
You step out of line, the man come and take you away
Gunning for Salman Rushdie - Cat Stevens

11. I backed my car into a cop car the other day
Well he just drove off sometimes life`s ok
I ran my mouth off a bit too much oh what can i say
Well you just laughed it off it was all ok
Busted Again - Justin Beaver

12. Now five years later on you've got the world at your feet
Success has been so easy for you
But don't forget it's me who put you where you are now
And I can put you back down too
Don't You Want Me - Human League

5 Point Bonus: What is the theme of today's game? (Be careful!!!!!) Each artist in today's game has a type of animal, not animals, but one solitary, singular animal in it's name. :D :D :D I was simply answering "animal" until I answered #12 which is one of my favorite songs from the 80's.

Kroxquo Bonus: Name another song with artist that fits the theme of today's game (Be careful!!!!)
Ashtrays & Heartbreak - Snoop Lion & Miley (sigh) Cyrus

Mecca Bonus: 2 of the songs above have been on the Mecca CD. Which ones? (3 possible points) 2 and 7

5 Point Bonus: What is the theme of today's game? (Be careful!!!!!)

Bands that contain an animal in the singular form somewhere in its name (noting animal singular was required for credit)

Kroxquo Bonus: Name another song with artist that fits the theme of today's game (Be careful!!!!)

Your Krox had to be a song from a group, and the group had to have the singular animal in it to get credit. I did award Sprots 1 point for Hootie & the Blowfish, since blowfish can be taken to be singular even though it is obviously meant as plural...

Mecca Bonus: 2 of the songs above have been on the Mecca CD. Which ones? (3 possible points)

#3 - All I Want (Winter 2013 [third song from the start] and current CD)
#7 - Fireflies (Winter 2013 & Fall 2013 CD's)

Wikipedia wrote:Toad the Wet Sprocket took its name from a Monty Python comedy sketch called "Rock Notes"[2] in which a journalist delivers a nonsensical music news report:

Rex Stardust, lead electric triangle with Toad the Wet Sprocket, has had to have an elbow removed following their recent successful worldwide tour of Finland. Flamboyant ambidextrous Rex apparently fell off the back of a motorcycle. "Fell off the back of a motorcyclist, most likely," quipped ace drummer Jumbo McClooney upon hearing of the accident. Plans are now afoot for a major tour of Iceland.[3]

Nope:

There was a kid in Darius Rucker's high school who looked like an owl. They called him Hootie. There was another kid with puffed up cheeks that they called Blowfish.

Do you know how long it took me to come up with a singular animal where I knew a song to go with it????????????????? Yeah, I guess you do, since I interrupted chat to do it.

Anyway, it's not "obviously" meant as plural, since that would be saying that Hootie is "obviously" Darius Rucker's real name. Actually, Blowfish is "obviously" singular since it names ONE of Darius's friends:

HOOTIE AND THE BLOWFISH - from the nicknames of two friends of singer/guitarist Darius Rucker - one with owl-like eyes (Hootie), another with the puffy "Blowfish" cheeks. http://library.thinkquest.org/4626/rock.htm

And furthermore .................. Nevermind. End of rant.

I was starting to wonder if you ever watch them, since I don't recall you mentioning so since I used "No More Looking Back" by The Kinks a year or two ago...

It depends on how much time I have and my mood.... I noticed I hadn't given out many JJC points in the game, so I gave it a whirl...
