Lyrically Speaking - 2/18/14

#1 Post by littlebeast13 » Tue Feb 18, 2014 7:24 am

If you thought yesterday's Mecca Monday game was difficult, just you wait! I can promise you that today's Tuesday Wordplay game is going to be flat out HARD! Better grab your sledgehammer for this one...

1 point for the title, 1 point for the artist...

1. I've built walls,
A fortress deep and mighty,
That none may penetrate.

2. Hey shout, summertime blues,
Jump up and down in my blue suede shoes

3. Motion in the ocean (ooh ah)
His air hose broke (ooh ah)
Lots of trouble (ooh ah)
Lots of bubble (ooh ah)
He was in a jam (ooh ah)
He's in a giant clam (ooh ah)

4. Spider Murphy played the tenor saxophone
Little Joe was blowin' on the slide trombone
The drummer boy from Illinois went crash, boom, bang
The whole rhythm section was the Purple Gang

5. Up to now we sailed through every storm
and I've always had your tender lips to keep me warm
oh I need to have the strength that flows from you
don't let me drift away my dear, when love can see me through

6. You got mud on your face
You big disgrace
Somebody better put you back into your place

7. I was eighteen
Didn't have a care
Working for peanuts
Not a dime to spare

8. Moonlight in the city brings the magic to your eyes
Freezin' a moment - leave me paralyzed
Breathe an emotion - set it dancin' in my ear
Bring on the rhythm when I hold you near

9. I'm burnin', burnin', I got the fever
I know for sure, there ain't no cure
So feel it, don't fight it, go with the flow
Gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme one more for the road

10. We asked for Mojo Nixon
They said, he don`t work here
We said, If you don`t got Mojo Nixon
Then your store could use some fixing

11. I've gone through changes
I've gone through pain
But there's not enough reason for me to go insane
I know the feeling
Just when it grows
I'm in a rage up from my head down to my toes

12. Hell elevator
Yeah, I'll see you later
No. I ain't gonna take it
Yes, I'm busting out

Kroxquo Bonus: Name another song with artist that contains the magic word of the day.

5 Point Bonus: If you were playing a popular hand game, and you chose the word of the day, what would you hope your opponent had in order to win?
