We all know how much you enjoy the movies.
Have you ever gone to any of the screenings at the Atlanta Jewish Film Festival?
It's the largest film festival in Atlanta and the second largest (in terms of tickets sold) in the country, just behind San Francisco. Falcon's owner, and co-founder of Home Depot, Arthur Blank's son, Kenny Blank, is the Executive Director.
The 14th annual version began last week (the opening was postponed from Wednesday to Thursday). It featured a wonderful movie, "Run Boy Run", by the Oscar winning director, Pep Danquart.
One of the venues that films are being shown is just down the street from you, Lefont, Sandy Springs. Hell, you could walk there.
One of the organizations that I am involved with is sponsoring one of the movies. It's called "Aftermath". There are 5 screenings. Unfortunately, 3 of them are already sold out. However, there's a screening tonight at Merchant's Walk and tomorrow at Tara that still have tickets available.
Tickets are only $11.00. Or, if you're a senior (65+), it's only $9.00.
Lefont hosts more screenings than any of the other 5 venues. The film festival runs through Feb. 20.
You should really check it out.

Re: SSS
I'm familiar with the Festival, but we've never gone to any of the screenings, primarily because we are able to see almost all commercially released films for free, so I've had a hard time justifying paying for the Festival screenings.
I have heard that many of the showings have been selling out, and I'm glad to hear that. We need to get as many diverse, quality films screening here in Atlanta as we can. I wish I'd known that your organization was sponsoring a film a bit before this, because we might have been able to get there, but it's a bit short notice. Best of luck; it sounds like your film is doing quite well in terms of ticket sales.

Perhaps it's your "mature" posting style.

Re: SSS
Not every time, but sometimes, they give me the senior discount at the movies. This has been going on for a few years, and I am still not old enough to be eligible for it.
But I still accept it. If I can't get a good job because of my prematurely gray hair I'm also going to take advantage of it when I can.
