1. But now these days are gone I'm not so self assured,
Now I find
I've changed my mind, I've opened up the doors.
Help! - Beatles

2. Can you feel it ,see it, hear it today?
If you can't, then it doesn't matter anyway
You will never understand it cuz it happens too fast
And it feels so good, it's like walking on glass
Epic - Faith No More (I saw a Cracked article once that claimed Faith No More may be the most significant One Hit Wonder ever, as they essentially laid the groundwork with this song for the musical style groups like Limp Bizkit and Korn would make popular a decade later...)

3. I used to bite my tongue and hold my breath
Scared to rock the boat and make a mess
So I sat quietly, agreed politely
Roar - Katy Perry

4. With a thrill in my head and a pill on my tongue
dissolve the nerves that have just begun.
Listening to Marvin (all night long.)
True - Spandau Ballet

5. Look around you, look up here
Take time to make time, make time to be there
Look around, be a part
Feel for the winter, but don't have a cold heart
Lady - Little River Band

6. I wear this crown of thorns
Upon my liar's chair
Full of broken thoughts
I cannot repair
Hurt - Nine Inch Nails or Johnny Cash (The Cash version got a lot of airplay on VH1C around the time of his death...)

7. Why in the world would anybody put chains on me?
I've paid my dues to make it
Everybody wants me to be what they want me to be
And I´m not happy when I try to fake it yeah
Easy - Commodores

8. She's saving up all of her money,
Wants to head it south in May,
Maybe roll in the sand with a rock 'n' roll man,
Somewhere down Montserrat way.
Fins - Jimmy Buffett

9. You crossed the line too many times,
I'm gonna put you in your place
You play with dynamite don't be surprised
When I blow up in your face
Oh my, oh my
Done - The Band Perry (I Kroxed this in one of the CSLS games back in November, and mentioned I learned of this most excellent song's existence from the Mecca CD...)

10. Baby you hold me tight
Cause you can make it right
You can shoot me stright to the top
Give me love and take all I got
Fame - Irene Cara

11. Looking around the house
Hidden behind the window and the door
Searching for signs of life
But there's nobody home
Good - Better Than Ezra

12. I've got my ticket for the long way 'round
Two bottle whiskey for the way
And I sure would like some sweet company
And I'm leaving tomorrow what-do-ya say?
Cups - Anna Kendrick (No matter how much I want to say this song isn't my cup of tea, I can't help absolutely loving it...)

Kroxquo Bonus: Name another song with artist that fits Kitty Sandwich could have used today. - If your Krox had a title that was a single four letter word, you got 2 points. If it didn't, you got zero points...

Mecca Bonus: Four of the songs above have been on the Mecca CD. Which numbers? (10 possible points)

#3 - Roar (Current CD)
#9 - Done (Fall 2013 CD)
#11 - Good (Winter 2013 CD)
#12 - Cups (Fall 2013 CD)

I love it! Blind luck says a handful of people should have gotten two of these right, with one or two maybe even getting three. As it was, only Esto even picked out two of the Mecca songs, and there were quite a few total whiffs! Three songs from the 2010's, and one from the late 90's. The Mecca CD's, ladies and gentlemen, are not your father's in-store muzak...

5 Point Bonus: The drummer on which of the songs above appeared as a contestant on WWTBAM just a few shows before my episode back in January 2001? - #2 - Michael Boldin from Faith No More appeared back to back with his wife in the Hot Seat... a moment only the first series of audition shows could make possible...

Well, that's a handy clue for those of us who have never been within ten feet of a Walmart!

That should have gone to your advantage given how those who were guessing logically did!

JJC Points:

smiler gets a supermax for bringing up the good four letter words Kitty Sandwich was too chickenshit to use this year...

vandal gets a supermax for the nastiness of Mike Hunt...

frank gets 2 JJC points for Babe and Styx...

elwood gets 2 JJC points for having The Brothers Carradine on the mind, and a reminder of one of my favorite old threads on this Bored...

Saucy gets 3 JJC points for noticing my tongue fetish and other good answers...

mrkelley gets a JJC point for his star pupil ending up in an a cappella band...

TBone gets a JJC point for reversing the sexes on #12...

melly gets no JJC points, but I did want to mention that I gave her full credit on the Bonus Q since she was apparently the only one who remembered Michael Boldin being on WWTBAM, but since she couldn't pin down which song was the FNM song, I could give her the artist credit for it...

Jessie gets 3 JJC points for snot, drinking piss, and bad flashbacks to the singalong song at Progressive Field (though it most certainly wasn't to the CSNY song! They love their Hang on Sloopy in Cleveland...)

I stand corrected... I conflated your response with mrk's...

I'm going to start drawing random numbers for the Mecca Bonus. I managed the statistically improbable 0 for 4 by trying to be logical.
