Lyrically Speaking - 1/9/14

#1 Post by Ebeneezer Beast » Thu Jan 09, 2014 4:15 am

So that little urchin LB asked me if I'd like to host a Theme Thursday for his silly little music game that takes up entirely too much of people's valuable time.... Lyrically Speaking, BAH! There is no time for music! There is only time for work! Listening to lyrics will not make me any money. But when LB threatened me with a return visit from my former partner if I refused.... well, I guess I can stiffen up the lip and carry on with this rubbish for one day. But I'm warning you all, if I catch any of you having a jolly old time playing this game, I'll beat you senseless with Tiny Tim's cane, you hear me? Humbugs, all of you!!!

1 point for the title, 1 point for the artist, 3 points for the theme....

1. When I get older they think I`m a fool
The teachers told me I should stay after school
She caught me pounding on the desk with my hands
But my licks was so hot I made the teacher wanna dance

2. You with your masquerading
And you always contemplating
What to do in case heaven has found you
Can't you see that it's all around you

3. I really want to know you (hallelujah)
Really want to go with you (hallelujah)

4. On disco lights your name will be seen
You can fullfill all your dreams
Party here, party there, everywhere

5. That's when she told me a story, 'bout free milk and a cow
And said no hugg-ee no kiss-ee until I get a weddin' vow

6. If you got a problem, don't care what it is
If you need a hand, I can assure you this

7. There ain't nothin in the world
Like a big eyed girl
That makes me act so funny
Make me spend my money
Make me feel real loose like a long necked goose

8. You took me from the shelter of a mother I had never known
Who loved any other
We kissed after taking vows
But that night on our honeymoon
We stayed in separate rooms

9. The ice age is coming
The sun's zooming in
Meltdown expected
The wheat is growing thin

10. Slip into the velvet glove, parted lips so filled with love.
Lips upon forbidden places, lingering in long embraces.

11. Your looks intoxicate me
Even though your folks hate me

12. Believe me
You really don't have to worry
I only want to make you happy
And if you say,
hey, go away, I will

Theme?

Kroxquo Bonus: Name another song with artist that fits the theme of today's game (Yes, you can obviously repeat an element I've already used).

5 Point Bonus: Which of the above songs describes the WWTBAM shows our very own Bixby appeared on in 2002?
