Beyoncé's pilgrimage to Mecca

#1 Post by jarnon » Sat Dec 21, 2013 11:17 pm

Beyoncé shopped at Walmart in Tewksbury, Mass. on Friday night, bought Xmas presents for her family and everyone in the store, and picked up a copy of her own new CD.

Target refused to carry Beyoncé’s new album because it had been released online first, suggesting that could hurt sales.
This must be the worst week in Target's history.

I think compromising 40 million credit card records might have had a little more impact that not carrying one CD.

No, I was not one of the customers involved (other side of town and I don't even attempt weekend shopping this time of year), but one of our local charities timed their shopping right.

I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

I don't know. Having ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, FOX and Yahoo newses advertise your 10% off everything storewide/nationwide sale for free should be quite a boon.

Revolution is when you decide that for yourself.

Beyonce's PR team spent $37K to get $1+ million worth of free publicity. And she comes out looking like Mother Teresa on a stunt that was designed as a vindictive move against Target because they wouldn't sell her new CD. Merry Christmas!

Beyonce could learn a lot from this anonymous donor at a Louisville Walmart.
