Observations December 19, 2013 - Vivacious

#1 Post by SportsFan68 » Thu Dec 19, 2013 10:04 am

Back in the 90s, Sandy Duncan made some commercials that were actually enjoyable to watch, mostly because of her vivacious and charming screen presence, and I'm glad she went on to more and better roles in television and movies.

There was only one Bored use of vivacious that I liked, but I decided I couldn't use it. I re-read the definition several times, and it seemed to me that only living beings could be described as vivacious. Here's the entire post:

#17. "Spear Carrier"

Sprots' word of the day observations inspired a handful of avatars this year, and this colorful piece came from her post on the "word" spear carrier. Tribal Skanki adorned in her vivacious war paint and multitude of tattoos and piercings was the first thing that sprang to my mind, and the second was poor ES boiling in a big pot for the tribe's dinner. Buster, also nicely colored up, was added to the avatar the next day to make this one even better. The Skankster is a true wild woman, and unless you don't want to end up with your shrunken head on her dog collar like Dr. Livingston Squirrel, you'd best steer clear of her jungle.

Nonsense. You just don't like that there's a squirrel in that post.

LB's right. I have no problem with some mangy rodent being cooked in the stewpot.
