Do you hear what I hear????
It's beginning to sound a lot like Christmas around these parts. The radio station from Grand Rapids I like to listen to switched to all Christmas music this morning.
I had already heard Christmas music being played at Kohls' on Wednesday evening. At least they aren't playing it at Mecca yet.

I'm just a game show nerd.

Re: Do you hear what I hear????
I saw a commercial featuring Santa Claus. I rewound to make sure it wasn't Odin from Thor: The Dark World, but sure enough, it was the jolly old elf. It's not yet Veteran's Day, but I'd be really pissed off if it was before Hallowe'en.

Re: Do you hear what I hear????
Two Providence stations I like have already switched to 24-hour "holiday" music.
Thank goodness I have the 2012 Boneys CDs to get me through these troubled times.

Over the years, there have been times when I read some of LB's posts of all things documented and I think to my self, "Good God LB, Get a life!"littlebeast13 wrote:I really should add these to the Bored reference thread. Kazoo is more reliable than the swallows at Capistrano....

Mostly there are times where I am just amazed at all the billions of bits of bored information that LB can not only remember, but can be found and documented.
But this....this takes the cake. Amazing, totally amazing! I don't know what we'd do without you LB.

LOL!
There really isn't much Bored history I could cite from this version of the Bored, but I always know it's that time of the year when we get the annual Kazoo Xmas music rant.... and I was honestly surprised when I looked these posts up last year and saw she had a perfect streak going!

She started getting the responses I'd guess she wanted; commiseration by others upset at the same thing. I'm guessing this because its what I'd want if I'd posted such a comment.
LB then zooms in to snarkily say that "Kazoo posts this every year", & because he can, he looks up & finds yearly posts of similar ilk by Kazoo. I'm actually taking his word on this, surprisingly. That these yearly posts are similar if not identical.
My response, had I posted it immediately, would have been "so what? Are only certain people on the board allowed to repeat their pet topics?". (Most don't wait anything near to a year to do it, either.)
Boy, if that were true, a whole lot of threads, including many by LB, would instantly vanish.
Anyway, the responses after LB signed in with his remarks were what I bet he wanted; more snark about "oh, Kazoo is repeating herself, isn't that funny". Club members responding in kind. I dunno, I got out of high school long ago. I got out of grade school even longer ago. I don't know why so many people want to stay in that mode. Maybe because they weren't the biggest bullies in their class, but now that the internet exists, & they don't have to face any real-world social consequences of their acts, off they go.
(Well, people who post "go kill yourself" on public sites are having to face some kind of charges these days when their targets go do that. But LB hasn't gone to that length to my knowledge. He really loves to bash people who he knows his club will chime in to bash, though.)
I almost didn't post my post because I predicted to myself exactly what would be the club's response. But to just shut up & blow away is generally not my attitude toward this stuff.

Don't you realize that LB is notebook boy and keeps track of everything that he finds interesting? This "club" thing is some sort of faux bullying crap that must be a remnant of wayback that you're attaching to yourself mistakenly.
