Apparently, they didn't find the perfect "By The Decade" contestants in Philly or Towson, because they're having auditions in NYC on October 7 & 10 that include "By The Decade."

They usually don't have auditions in places as small as Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton and Albany. I wonder why they didn't go to Hartford instead.

Isn't 'Gor in Albany? --Bob

Just outside it.

We had a BB get-together at the Albany auditions during the coast-to-coast bus tour. That's where Pea and Sting made it into the pool.

So they've added more road auditions to locations where they don't have to fly their APs. Will they cast anyone from these auditions, this late in the taping season?

Anyone who's not a dancing fool at the Hot Poker Table, that is? :|

There were auditions last October in Philly and the Apollo Theater, and some of the auditioners did get on the show.

I auditioned today in Bethlehem. I knew I had no chance in Decades, so I just took the regular test. Passed the test and had an interview with Lindsey and a video interview with Geoff. Seemed to go well. Wayne Schiff, who mentioned that he was on MSQ, also passed the test.

Did you take the decades test? If so, was it history or fashion, tv shows, celebrity type questions?

Congrats on getting a video interview.

I took the 80s test last month in Philly. It was brutal. Most of the questions were on pop culture.

Here's an article about the auditions at the Sands in Bethlehem. The text is short (and got confused about when the new season began) but there are a lot more photos than usual. From the size of their testing center, they could have handled a lot more auditioners! :P

Here's a short article about the auditions outside Albany.

http://wnyt.com/article/stories/S3187091.shtml?cat=300
Producers say about 350 people turned out for a chance to be on the show.
Not a large turnout, for a cattle call.
Several were chosen to be contestants to tape with host Cedric the Entertainer, who took over the show from longtime host Meredith Vieira this year.
Surely not! Not only do they take longer to send out the Happy Cards, but they take even longer for the average auditioner to tread water in the pool before being cast for an episode. And several actual contestants out of 350 auditioners would be an exceptional success rate.

Perhaps they meant several passed the written test and went on to an interview.

Sometimes they work fast. Taylor hosted auditions in Bethlehem Tuesday and Albany Wednesday, called contestants today, and worked the NYC audition this evening.

Only three weeks left in the taping season, but the audition season isn't over.
COME PARTY AT THIS ONE-OF-A-KIND MILLIONAIRE AUDITION!

Shake off the work week and audition for your chance to make a million!

Free food and “mocktails” (such as the Final Answer Fizz & Trivia on the Beach) will be served while you try out; cocktail attire optional.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 25th
6pm, 7pm & 8pm Sessions

Sign up for your New York City audition.
So they're still looking for contestants; swimmers in the pool shouldn't give up. Nothing about Decades, however. I suppose they found the players they were looking for.
